Sedjenan City is famous for its pottery works that is renowned as Saejnan Ware . The craftsmen of this area use a technique that has been used since the Neolithic times and this is the reason for the high quality and the distinctive features of their works . They have the clay hand-moulded into animal figurines and bowls of various forms and sizes . Then they burn the mounds of glowing coals heavily before ornamenting it with rusty reds and deep browns .
Tourists who are interested in purchasing souvenirs with Tunisian style can shop for the Saejnane ware from Bizerte Open-air Market and other markets of the major cities , but can hardly buy it from Saejnane itself .
