Ras Taguermes

Ras Taguermes is one of the important beaches neighboring Sidi Mehres Beach on the Mediterranean coast . On top of the tourist attractions in this city is the red and white striped lighthouse which locates at the beginning of El Qantara Road about 100km to the east . It is open for visitors from 9am-6pm and there are many restaurants serving delicious Tunisian and international food at good prices including Le Phare which is famous for its seafood meals .
Few meters away from the lighthouse stands Sebkha Sidi Garous lagoon which is a notable destination for Tunisian families in summer and is known as a good camping area where families camp in their tents at night outdoor . It is provided with all essential services and facilities including hotels providing to the visitors the extreme pleasure and the utmost comfort .
The majority of Ras Taguremes beaches are private domain for wealthy Tunisian families . Yet there is a number of public beaches where numerous entertainment places such as souvenir bazaars , bicycle-hire places and restaurants can be found .
