The Kasbah Mosque (or just 'Kasbah') lies on the north side of the Old Port entrance , Medina , in Tunis . Built in 1235 , was once within the Hafsid citadel (now lost) and it is reinforcd with10m-high fortified walls . Similar to the Zaytouna Mosque minaret , the Kasbah's minaret is modeled in the Moroccan style to suggest the strong links between the Hafsids and the Almohad strand of Islam .
