Zaouia of Sidi Abdallah Bu Makhlouf
The Mosque of Sidi Abdullah Bou Makhlouf or Mosque of Bou Makhlouf is one of the most admirable sightseeing in El Kaf City. It locates in the northeast side of the 5th Century Basilica of St Augustine. This mosque was constructed in the 17th Century on the honor of Saint or Sidi Bou Makhlouf who came from Morocco. The mosque is annexed to the mausoleum of Saint Bou Makhlouf and his family.
In spite of its quite small size, this mosque is highly distinguished by its modest, yet distinctive architectural style. This appears clearly in the three domes and the octagonal Minaret that is designed on the Hanifat style of the 19th Century. Another admirable feature in the decoration of the mosque is its gleaming white color that illuminates its beauty.
