Tomb of Sidi Ali el Mekki

Upon the hillside of Sidi Ali El Mekki Beach appears a number of whitewashed houses and a small tomb of Saint Ali El Mekki. The tomb has a great importance and considered as a sacred place for Tunisians since it encloses the cenotaph of the famous saint Ali El Mekki. Local Tunisians usually visit the tomb and light candles believing that they would have some of the blessings of the saint. The tomb is sided also by a number of tombs for other less important tombs.
