Tataouine
Tataouine Governorate is situated in southern section of the country, from the border of Algeria to the border Libya; thus the largest of the twenty-four governorates (provinces) of Tunisia. The governorate spreads over an area of 38,889 km² with a population of 144,000 (2004 statistics). The capital city is Tataouine. Among the most noted cities enclosed within its borders are: Bir Lahmar, Dehiba, Ghomrassen, and Remada.
