Square of the Winds

Near the Capitol at Dougga is the 'Square of Winds' (also the 'Square of the Rose of the Winds'). It lies between the Temple of Mercury dedicated to Tellus and the market. At this square, the paving is laid out like an enormous compass and lists the names of the 12 winds.
