Small Museum
Next to the entrance of the Roman Pools stands the Archaeological Museum of Gafsa is one of the tourist attractions in the city. It is established and placed in this place to enclose a collection of exhibits that indicate the great history of the city since the prehistoric era passing by the Roman rule of Gafsa till today.
In spite of its small size, the museum is consists of two wings. The first wing encloses a number of everyday life tools made of wood and bones and date back to the predynastic era and some items from the Capsian era. In the second wing, one can find many pieces from the 11th century BC including fascinating objects, jewelery, coins, sculptures and mosaics.
