ONAT Museum

During the tour in Kairouan City, one should visit the The ONAT Museum that locates few meters away from Ali Zouwy Mosque. It is open for visitors for free from 7.30am-1.30pm in summer and from 8.30am-1 pm, but in winter it opens from 3-5.45pm from Monday till Saturday and from 8am till 12 pm in Friday. Among the worth seeing items displayed in the ONAT Museum are the cleverly made and brightly colored rugs of Kairouan where one can have an overall view on all forms and types before buying.
