National Museum of Carthage
One of the important landmarks of the city is the Museum of Carthage (Muee de Carthage), which is housed in the former French cathedral seminary. Items on display at are mainly from the Punic and Roman eras. Among the fabulous exhibits in the museum's ground floor are Roman mosaic works that date from the 5th-century AD; some lamps (from the 4th to 7th c. AD); a statue of a boozy Silenus and Maenad; Punic masks; engraved razors with duck-shaped han¬dles (from 1st c. AD); bird-like terracotta bottle (4th c.
