Mides

The small village of Mides stretches 6km away from Tamerza. You can reach the site though hiking about 4.5km passing through the breathtaking scenery and the old location of the city's southern walls. It is one of the most glorious Tunisian mountain oases with a stunning gorge stretching for 3 km. At the gorge, many movie shots were taken, including so many from The English Patient. If you get there, you will enjoy walking down into the canyon. Before you leave this stunning place, you can pick some souvenirs from the rows of shops, stalls, and basic cafes at the top of the canyon.
