Megabla Palace

The small village of Ksar Megabla lies seductively about 2km from the town centre in Tatawine. It has a typical example of Tunisian old ksour (granaries). Built in 1409, the exterior façade is now semi-ruined but still has its original style and distinct appearance. The ksar's inside is very interesting. The village offers a friendly close encounter of the Tunisian people feeding their livestock in the cells. Do not leave before climbing the steep stairs that lead to the highest ghorfa. Entrance to the ksar is free.
