Medersa Palmier
One of the fabulous religious attractions in Tunis is the Medersa Palmier which lies in 11, Souq des Libraires Street, Medina. Built in 1714, it served as a school for study of the Quran. The school was so named after a long-gone tree and its door is painted in yellow. It occupies an area on the site of a funduq (travellers' inn).
