Medenine Palace

Medenine Kasr is one of the major tourist attractions not only in the city but also in the whole governorate. It is a unique building with remarkable architectural style datee back to the 17th century and was constructed by the ouergherma of Ghorrassen. The Kasr locates in Ave 7 November next to the remains of other ksour of palaces in the city. Medenine kasr or Ghoraf Medenine is regarded as an ideal example for the architectural style of Tunisian Ghorafs. It stands as a two-story building of mud or stone, consisting of small rooms with domed rooftops to allow the rainwater to gather in the lower part.
