Kasbah

On the top of the jebbel Eddir Hills, on can see the magnificent forts of Kasbah that date back to the Byzantince era. It was constructed by stones used from other buildings in the 5th Century BC. By the passage of time it was used as barracks for soldiers or as prison during the Ottoman rule and the French occupation of Tunisia. It is recommended to visit the place for enjoying the panoramic view of the remains of the Roman baths and cisterns and the former presidential palace.
