KSAR HADDADA

Another must-stop attraction is the seductive hill town of Ksar Haddada which lies 5km northwest of Tataouine. To get there, continue on that road through Ghoumrassen and follow signs to Hadada. This major tourist sightseeing was once a ksar, or fortified granary. The place was the setting of some shots of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. The city was restored and became the enchanting Hotel Ksar Haddada. It has uncovered and unpainted facades. This big, superb hotel was later closed at noticing some minor collapses at some parts.
