JEBEL ABIOD

To the north of Al-Haouaria rises the 390m-high Jebel Abiod, in the northeastern tip of the Tunisian Dorsale. The impressive view over the sheer cliffs is indescribable. You can bring a 4WD vehicle or hike up from the town, along the road to the top. The fascinating area is a favored tourist trap where tourists love to watch birds migrating between Africa and Europe especially in May and June. There is a number of decent camping spots where you can spend a wonderful time and sleep under the stars.
