House of the Hunt
House of Hunt or Maison de la Chasse as locally known is one of the spacious Roman villas in Bulla Regia. It is assumed to be a house of one of the wealthy Romans and is known in that name because of the mosaic paintings ornamenting its floor.
The House of Hunt consists of two floors all of them are about 5/ 16m under the ground level. The upper floor is badly ruined while the basement is well preserved. The interior structure of the Hunt House consists of a large central courtyard surrounded with eight Corinthian columns surrounded by a number of dinning and bedrooms. Similar to the upper floor, the ground floor is centered with a large floor supported with five pillars and the floor is remarkably decorated with geometric mosaics.
