House of fishing
House of Fishing or Maison de la PĂȘche is one of the most preserved remains of the Roman constructions in Bulla Rega. It locates to the south of the House of Amphitrite and also is highly admired for the unique mosaic works ornamenting the interior part. Few meters to the northeast of Fishing House, there is a water spring which was used for providing fresh water to the house in the past. It still delivers water to the neighboring region of Jendouba.
The interior of the house consist of a arcaded courtyard surrounded with a number of rooms encloses many fascinating vaulted paintings. Of special interest in the exhibits of this vaulted gallery is the marine mosaic that portrays a sea swarming with fish, with cupids and ducks angling for them.
