House of Amphitrite
House of Amphitrite, Roman sea goddess, is famous for enclosing the finest and most preserved mosaics in Bulla Regia. From an underground passage, one finds the large room where the mosaic of Venus Marina and Neptune riding on a marine centaur. Another unique mosaic ornaments the floor of the room depicting two cupids riding a dolphins while one of them admiring himself in the mirror. In addition to those rare pieces in the House of Amphitrite or Maison d'Amphitrite, there was another masterpiece highlighting the myth of the freeing of Andromeda that was moved later to be displayed in Bardo Museum in Tunisia.
