In Tunis, there is a large number of markets centered in Medina, all organized into different commercial areas that display various goods and outfits including essential oils, souvenirs, satin baskets, gifts, clothes, wools, caps and hats. Among the different Souqs (markets) surrounding the Zaytouna Mosque are the Souq elAttarine (the Perfume Makers' Souq), Souq el Trouk (the Turkish Souq), Souq des Libraires (the Booksellers' Souq), Souq de la Laine (the Wool Souq), and Souq el-Grana (the Livornese Jews' Souq).
