Gar Ad Dima

Ghardimao is located 36km west of Jendouba. For transportation, trains are available from and to Tunis (takes three hours) via Jendouba (26 minutes) and Beja (1.5 hours) five times a day. The area here gives an atmosphere of emptiness and a dead-end feel. There was once the Al-Maghreb ai-Arabi train (Trans-Maghreb Express) that was linking Tunisia with Morocco through Algeria, however the train service is suspended now. The area is surrounded by countryside too, but the town in general has an overall air of abandonment.
