El Jem
El Djem or El Jem is one of the small towns of Tunisia that are widely known for the Amphitheatre and the Museum of Mosaic works on its land. It is located on the archaeological site of the Roman Settlements in Tunisia and during the Coptic era it was regarded as the seat of Christian Bishop. Nowadays, the city is enhabited by about 18000 people (2004 census) and still hosts the titular Roman Catholic bishop today.
