Dar el Bey
One of the attractions worth seeing in Tunis is the palace of Dar El Bey which was once the Husseinite city pad. The monument was built in 1800 and was used as an official guest house a year later, with the French occupation. The building later became home for the Bey (provincial governor) of Tunis himself. Today, the palace is occupied by the Prime Minister's Office and the Foreign Ministry.
