Dar el Annabi
One of the must-stop attractions in Tunis is Dar El Annabi ('House of El Annabi') that dates back to the 18th century AD. It is surrounded by many beautiful courtyards and an Andalusian garden filled with bougainvillea and its interior is decorated with fine lavish tiles. The superb building encloses a number of halls, a patio, a prayer room and a library. One can see portraits of the family's lush members made from wax and painted in black and white. The house is interestingly a typical example of Sidi Bou Saïd architecture. From the house's terrace, a visitor can enjoy a magnificent view of the village and the sea.
