Church of Saint Peter
The Church of Eglis St Pierre or St Peter or Dar El Kous as known currently is one of the major tourist attractions in El Kaf City. It was constructed in the 4th century AD for Saint Eglis St Pierre on the site of the ancient Pagan Temple. The interior plan of the church consists of a narthex, a large nave, and two side aisles. During the Byzantine rule of Tunisia an impressive apse was added. Although the church is not always open for visitors, it is recommended to visit the site to enjoy the exterior view of the building before visiting the neighboring Roman Baths and Roman Cistern.
