Church of Melleus
The Church of Melleus is one of the important tourist sites in the city of Haidra. It locates to the north of the Fortress of Haidra, beyond the modern road of the city. The Church of Mellus was constructed in the 4th Century and then enlarged during the Byzantine Rule. It is called in that name because it encloses the tomb of Bishop Melleus among many other tombs within it. The beauty of the architectural style of the church is accentuated by the rounded apse and the two rows of columns separating the nave from the aisle.
