Cathedral of St Vincent de Paul

One of the religious attractions in Tunis is the holy Cathedral of St Vincent de Paul that is considered a fascinating monument over the European presence in the city. It was built in 1882, one year before the French officially siezed Tunisia. A manifestation of a distinct architectural style, the cathedral has regular masses in French and Italian with many fine Byzantine and Moorish elements.
