Baths of the Stars
The Luxurious life the Roman had led in Tunisia is quite evident from the huge number of baths they had erected in Zaghawan (Zagawan) and other spots all over the country. Thuburbo Majus was home of a number of bath complexes including the Summer Baths (next to the Portico of the Petronii), the Winter baths (150m to the east), the small Baths of the Labyrinth (south-east of agora), the Baths of the Stars (north-east of the Capitol) as well as the Baths of the Capitol (just west of the Capitol, about 50m south of the Winter Baths). The Baths of the Stars are so named after the fine mosaics decorating the ground.
