Bab Ghedive

Bab Ghedive is the last thing one can stop at during his visit to El Kaf City. This gate was one of five huge gates fortifying the city. It locates few meters away from the Roman Cistern that still provide some of the villagers with their needs of water. To the east of the gate appear the wrought-iron grave decorations ornamenting the Christian Cemetery. About 200 meters to the west, one can find the current large Jewish Cemetery that was once the presidential palace of President Habib Bourguib. It is not recommended to visit this place at night because it attracts the boozers and becomes insecure region at night.
