Antonine Gate
The Antonine Gate is considered the greatest and most preserved gate in Tunisia. It was constructed in 139 AD to be the main entrance for the Roman Complex of the forum in Sbietla. This admiration worthy gate stands as a triple-arched gate that opens onto a large paved forum flanked by two rows of chopped-off columns. This arcaded path ends with the sanctuary complex that consists of three temples for three major Roman deities.
