Gafsa Governorate
It is regarded as one of the densely populated governorates in Tunisia since it is inhabited by about 329 , 800 peoples(2007) . The main sources of income for most of its inhabitants are industry , mining , agriculture , fishing and logistic services . Due to the notable importance of Gafsa Governorate , it is provided with all necessary infrastructure including highways , railways and airways . It is linked with the other cities with a network of roads that make it the crossroad between many regions within Tunisia and many other North African countries . The governorate is supplied with a railway linking Gafsa to Tunis Governorate . Additionally , Gafsa-Ksar is an international airport that receives a large number of passengers and flights annually . |
