A place out of this world , modern Douz (Duz or Doz) is one with beauty and charm . Part of the town is abundant with accommodation facilities , restaurants , coffeehouses , and banks; the other is the Zone Touristique , 3km southwest of the centre down ave des Martyrs . Though apparently a desolate place with no signs of tourist attractions due to the hot weather during midday all summer long , Douz becomes much busy and livelier at night , especially when cafes and Souqs get packed with locals and tourists .
