The quite sleepy town of Beni Khiar is located only 4km away east of
Nabeul
. The villagers earn their living from weaving; and one of the must-stop attractions here is the charming weaving center Cooperative des Tisserands el-Faouz . A wonderful common scene is a man operating looms and spinning wool to produce a rug to be sold at one of the small stalls or shops . In short , being here allows you to experience a taste of country life . This place has enough facilities including good schools , high street with essential shops , post office , doctors , dental surgeries and other amenities . Beni Khiar boasts a pretty , traditional port area , with fresh fish every day , as well as a lovely sandy beach perfect for sometime for contemplation . Reaching the town is best done by taking either a taxi or a bus from the beach .
